Painting Plein Air

Painting outside at the O'Brien Center for the Creative Arts...a beautiful Fall-like day in the middle of August. The sounds of life going on around me; a cool breeze moving the air, chimes making their unique music, birds singing, water trickling, the distant banging of new construction and the buzzing motors of lawn equipment, all this makes me feel vital and IN the world.

The painting, Ghosts of Themselves, came out of this moment.
